The Inbetweeners Movie review

The Inbetweeners Movie

Plot-
These four typical British lads head off to Malia for the summer of a lifetime well, sort of. Simon, Jay, Will and Neil have not long finished school and are hoping for 'sun, sand, sex, sea and sex' when they jet off for their first ever 'lads holiday' and stay in a revolting hotel and attempt to discover Malia's true colours. If you want to see a cringey lads holiday then this is defiantly the film for you!

Review-
The Inbetweeners movie, a definite upgrade from the hilarious and well-known E4 series, shown a few years ago now. It's fair to say, this film is not a disappointment! Jay, played by Buckley, finances the trip by the devastating passing of his grandfather and Simon, played by Thomas,  aims to get over his ex girlfriend Carley. Throughout this film, you will be disgusted, in hysterics and shaking your head in despair, whilst the writers, Iain Morris and  Damon Beesley put these lads through a holiday from hell.
This gross-out comedy shows the boys get walked all over by Mailia, step by step, night by night,  and eventually shows their defeat. Admittedly, these actors play the immature, 'wanna be cool' boy remarkably well. Joe Thomas, who plays Simon, does not disappoint considering he appeared from nowhere and was a practically a nobody beforehand. Simon Bird, who plays the amusing character of Will, was previously a comedian and has set up his own sketches. James Buckley, who plays the character of Jay is also known for his well known role as Dellboy in 'Only fools and horses'. Last but certainly not least, my favorite Neil, who is played by Blake Harrison. Blake has also appeared from nowhere and is best round for his role in the Inbetweeners.
Early days, the film opens with a birds eye shot whin then unfortunately zooms into Jays bedroom- revolting, I must add! We then get a glimpse of the un-popular gang in school, see Simon get dumped and watch Jay inherit his Grandfathers money before we fly out to Malia. The holiday consists of nothing but embarrassing events which will ruin the reputation that they defiantly did not have!
Overall, this film is packed full of giggles, cringey humor and a generally happy atmosphere. I would recommend for anyone over the age of fifteen who has a great sense of humor and is ready to laugh at others misfortune!!
